Centurion Hotel Grand Akasaka Mitsuke Station: A Convenient Stay in Tokyo – With a Catch
A Prime Location for Exploring Tokyo
For travelers looking for a centrally located hotel in Tokyo, Centurion Hotel Grand Akasaka Mitsuke Station offers excellent accessibility and a lively surrounding area. Whether taking the train, Uber, or walking, the hotel’s location makes it easy to explore top Tokyo destinations like Shibuya, Ginza, and Tokyo Tower.
Close to multiple train stations – Ideal for quick commutes across the city.
Near popular shopping & dining – Convenient access to Don Quijote, CoCo Ichibanya, and various convenience stores.
Great for groups with different travel preferences – Whether using public transportation or taxis, the hotel works well for all travelers.
The Unexpected Surprise: The Hotel’s Two Buildings
One thing to note—not all rooms are in the sleek, modern building you see online.
Upon arrival, we were checked in at the beautiful main lobby, only to be told that our actual room was in an older building across the street. While still under the Centurion Hotel Grand brand, this older section had a completely different vibe—less polished and more dated than expected.
💡 Tip: If booking this hotel, confirm that your room is in the newer building to ensure the modern experience shown in photos.
Room Size & Comfort: Tokyo Standards Apply
By Tokyo standards, the rooms were compact but functional.
The beds were comfortable, and the amenities were decent.
If staying in the older building, expect a more dated feel with limited upgrades.
While the location was great, the experience was less luxurious than expected due to the outdated section we were placed in.
Customer Service & Convenience
Despite the room mix-up, the hotel staff were accommodating and spoke enough English to assist international travelers.
Luggage forwarding (Yamato) was handled smoothly, ensuring our bags arrived ahead of us from Osaka.
Check-in was quick and efficient.
The hotel securely stored our luggage until we arrived.
Overall, the service met expectations, but the hotel should be more transparent about the difference between the two buildings.
Final Verdict: Who Should Stay Here?
✅ Travelers who want a central location with easy transport access
✅ Solo travelers or couples who don’t mind compact rooms
✅ Visitors who double-check that they’re booking the newer building
❌ Not ideal for those expecting a modern, luxury experience without verification
Would I stay here again? Only if I could confirm I was in the newer building.
